A Touchstone Energy Cooperative

Go back

Kosciusko Rural Electric Membership Corporation (KREMC) is a member-owned corporation that supplies electric power to customers in portions of Kosciusko, Fulton, Wabash and Whitley counties in northern Indiana.

KREMC was founded in 1938 and energized the home of its first customer on February 22, 1939. In 1998, KREMC formed a partnership with Touchstone Energy -- a nationwide alliance of over 600 electric cooperatives. The Touchstone Energy partnership is a way for us to expand our service by sharing ideas and advanced technologies with other cooperatives around the country. A nine-member board of directors, all of whom receive service from KREMC and are elected by the member-owners, governs our cooperative.

Current Board Members are:

John Anglin, Jr.
William Stump, Jr.
Terry Bouse
Kim Buhrt
Pam Messmore
Rick Parker
Fred Powell
Tom Shively
Dan Tucker

Currently, KREMC serves over 17,000 homes and businesses from our offices in Warsaw, Indiana.

Three directors are elected from the membership each spring at the annual meeting. Reports of the progress and future plans of KREMC from the Board President, Secretary-Treasurer and CEO, plus family entertainment and prize drawings are included in the Saturday morning event.
