Geothermal/Air Source Heat Pump Rebates
Program Description:
Effective 9.1.08, Kosciusko REMC will begin offering a rebate-only program for members who purchase geothermal/heat pump systems. Under this program, residential and farm members will need to use the following procedures:
1. Contact the co-op at (574) 267-6331 to learn more about the rebate program.
2. Purchase a new geothermal/heat pump system from a certified dealer of your choice. Note: Member must present a copy of the dealer's invoice for purchase date and installation verification.
3. Have the new geothermal/heat pump system installed. Installation is the responsibility of the member. After installation, call the co-op at (574) 267-6331 to schedule an inspection to verify that the new geothermal/heat pump system has been installed on KREMC lines within six months of purchase.
4. After the inspection is completed and proof of purchase and eligibility has been verified, a billing credit will be issued on the member's next monthly statement.
Rebates:
The following rebates will be offered:
Geothermal/Heat Pump System Rebates
• Geothermal system rebate $250.00
• Air source heat pump system rebate $150.00
Eligibility:
• Any residential member (farm and home rate) of Kosciusko REMC;
Restrictions:
• KREMC is not responsible for any parts or service on rebate-only purchased units (see below for more details).
• Rebate units MUST be installed on KREMC lines only.
• No more than two geothermal or heat pump system rebates will be paid to any one account (household).
• No rebates will be issued without a valid dealer's invoice for unit(s). Invoice may not be more than six months old at time of KREMC inspection.
Procedure to Pay:
• Member purchases and installs system, and schedules inspection by KREMC personnel. After all inspections are completed and the rebate application and valid dealer's invoice has been approved a credit will be issued on the next available monthly statement.
